Newton's on a row

Hello you,

Today I have made a card for a swedish Facebook group -  48 timmars scraputmaningar - using stamps from Newton's Nook designs and Altenew.

I stamped the cute little Newton from the stamp set called Newtons Birthday Bash and masked him several times using masking paper from Inkadinkado to make a row of balloon-Newton's! It was so fun!
I colored the Newtons's in different colors using my inktense pencils and I also used my gelatos. I used fantastix pens instead of a paintbrush and it worked out so nice! It was lovely coloring with them.

I then stamped the little Newton with presents and cut out the presents with a craft knife and then I stamped the image again on an acetate sheet using Stazon ink, then adhered it from behind and turned it into a shaker part.

I stamped the word celebrate from an Altenew stamp set and heat embossed it using Rangers gold tinsel embossing powder.

In my stash I had an old sheet of sort ot chipboard numbers, and I used the number 1, since this card is for someones first birthday!

I finished the card off with some sequins and also I used my clear glitter wink of Stella pen to give the balloons some glittery shine.

Happy Balloon card

Hello everyone!

This card is mainly inspired by Nichol Magouirk. Please visit her blog to see her inspiring cards, she is amazingly talented!

It is a pretty easy card to make, you just need som patience, and it is always good to check which way you are placing your dies, so you do not die cut upside down and ruin your card... (Been there... Done that...)

The card is made in several steps.
First I die cut the stitched rectangle from Simon Says Stamp from watercolor paper.
Then I used three different shapes from Lawn Fawn party balloon dies, and die cut some balloons.
I used different colors of distress inks and the ink blending tool to colorize the balloons.
I then cut out a new rectangle and covered it with a tape runner and placed it behind the first one, then I inlayed the colored balloons.
Now from that I used the Mama Elephant happy script die, and placed IT over the balloons and run it through my big shot again. This is where I made my misstake and did not look twice and cut it out upside down... Also, important here is to keep all the small bits and pieces that is within the word happy.
I cut out the happy word again, this time in black, and as well in watercolor cardstock. I reused the ink blending tool foam parts and colored in the happy in matching balloon colors.
I used one more rectangle die cut and did the same thing ; covered it with tape runner and now inalying first the black happy word, then the colored happy word, then finally all the bits and pieces that I kept earlier.
To finish the card of I stamped parts of the scripty sayings stamps from Lawn Fawn. I stamped the greetings using different kind of shades of ink pads from Lawn Fawn,
Finally I adhered some sequins from little things from Lucy's cards. Please visit her shop for lots of sequin-goodies!

Thank you so much for looking!
